Because the Solemnity of Mary IS NOT a Holy Day of Obligation, there will be NO Vigil Mass on Dec. 31 at either St. Malachi or St. Patrick’s Parish. Join us at 10AM on January 1st for the Solemnity of Mary Partner Parish Mass at St. Patrick’s.

Sunday, New Year’s Day, is the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God; it is also the World Day of Prayer for Peace. There will be a 4:00PM Vigil Mass on Saturday December 31 and a 10:00AM Mass on New Year’s Day.
As we enter a new year, let us pray that peace will prevail on earth and that each of us, like Mary, “may keep all these things, reflecting on them in our hearts.” (cf. Luke 2: 19)

This Wednesday, August 15,2018 is the Solemnity of Mary’s assumption into heaven; it is a Holy Day of Obligation. It celebrates God’s special favor to Mary, the sinless one, mother of Jesus the Christ, Son of God, at the end of her life on earth to be received body and soul to the glory of heaven.
In her Assumption, Mary is also a sign of the whole Church, destined to be united with God in heaven at the end of time. We will celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary at the 5:30PM Vigil Mass on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 7:00 AM and Noon Masses on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. Please Note: Due to Tuesday’s Vigil Mass, there will be no Noon Mass this Tuesday.
