St. Malachi Christmas Vigil & Christmas Day Mass Schedule, 2023
We invite you to join us for Mass as we celebrate Jesus’ birth. The Mass schedule for Christmas is as follows for St. Malachi:
Sunday, Christmas Eve: 4PM
Monday, Christmas Day: 10AM
Because the Solemnity of Mary IS NOT a Holy Day of Obligation, there will be NO Vigil Mass on Dec. 31 at either St. Malachi or St. Patrick’s Parish.
Join us at 10AM on January 1st for the Solemnity of Mary Partner Parish Mass at St. Patrick’s.
Labor Day Mass at St. Malachi, 09/07/20 9:00 AM
Labor Day Mass, Monday, September 7, 2020 at 9:00 AM at St. Malachi. Join with our partner parishes to begin your holiday in prayer for all who labor, especially those whose labor supports us & our life, those who are enslaved, work in dangerous or dehumanizing conditions, whose labor is exploited, & all who are unemployed or underemployed.
Mass Schedule Change Due to Covid-19
In the light of COVID-19, the Mass schedule has been adjusted due to the fact that several priests who assist us are in an at risk population and may not be able to celebrate Mass with us at this time. The new schedule is as follows:
Saturday Vigil Mass: 4:00 PM
Sunday Mass: 10:00 AM
Weekday Masses: Noon—Tuesdays & Fridays
We ask everyone who attends to wear a mask and take your temperature before coming to Mass. Social distancing will be observed.
The bishops of Ohio continue to dispense Catholics from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. We ask that you take the necessary precautions to stay healthy. If that means joining us this weekend, we welcome you. If it means that you will continue to stay at home to protect yourself, we wish you God’s blessings and know that you are in our prayers. Remember your health is of utmost importance.
Masses Continues to Be Suspended As “Stay at Home” Order Remains in Place
The Bishops of Ohio have decided to further suspend all public liturgies until May 29th with the hope that public Mass will resume on the weekend of May 30/31. This, of course, depends on further directives by the Governor.
With this in mind, diocesan staffs will be working on reasonable, gradual, and responsible initiatives for welcoming back the faithful in time to Sunday Mass. Pastors are encouraged to be working with their staff members and parish leaders to begin preparatory steps. These preparatory measures, of course, will be determined once the diocese distributes liturgical guidelines in the near future.
Our staff members have also been working with engaged couples, RCIA, and others who are preparing for sacraments. We will also continue to work with families who need to delay Masses of Christian Burial.
Thank you for your continued patience and for your prayers for the parish community and for those personally impacted by COVID-19.
