St. Malachi Litter Pilgrimage, 05/15/2021 10:00 AM

Join us Saturday, May 15, at 10AM for the St. Malachi Litter Pilgrimage!  We will pray, pick up litter and recyclables, and renew the face of the earth!  We will meet in the parking lot behind St. Malachi’s school building, and trek down W. 25th Street towards the Lakeview Terrace Community Center and surrounding area picking up trash and recyclables.  Trash bags and gloves provided, though it’s great if you bring your own!

BONUS:  Sandwiches, beverages and snacks provided at the end of our pilgrimage!  Contact Steph Riccobene at riccobene726@gmail.com or (216) 799-6015 with any questions.

 

Creation Care Earth Day Prayer Service, 04/22/2021 7 PM

Prayer is perhaps the most important thing we can do to care for God’s creation. You are invited to celebrate Earth Day by participating in a Zoom prayer service,http://bit.ly/WSCCT-EarthDay-2021 passcode: earthday, April 22, 2021 at 7PM. The service, “Restore Our Common Home”, was written by Catholic Climate Covenant and is hosted by the West Side Creation Care Team with support from the Cleveland Diocese Social Action Office.

While a long, hot shower may feel good on a cool day, did you know that you can keep your hair and skin more hydrated and healthier by taking a shorter, cooler shower? You will also reduce your water and energy use. This will save you money on your water, sewer and energy bills, while reducing the environmental pollution associated with water purification and energy generation. Try treating yourself to less itchy skin and lower bills, while protecting God’s creation for our children and grandchildren.

Join the West Side Creation Care Team Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Paul’s Community Church, 4427 Franklin Blvd., (corner of W. 45th and Franklin).  Topics will include climate care education, collaboration, advocacy, and a possible July event.
