ST. VINCENT DE PAUL BLANKET SUNDAY
The 38th Annual Blanket Sunday in-parish appeal kicks off the weekend of October 12-13, 2024. Last year, funds from the appeal were used to purchase nearly 5,000 new winter blankets, in addition to winter hats, gloves and other necessities that were provided to unhoused neighbors.

PREGNANCY AND INFANT LOSS AWARENESS DAY
Bereaved parents around the world light a candle to create a wave of light to illuminate the night in remembrance of their children lost too soon. We invite all who have experienced a pregnancy loss or infant loss (child under age 2) to come together and be surrounded by love and support as you honor the baby in your heart during this remembrance service filled with music, readings and a candle lighting. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, 6:30 P.M., Cornerstone of Hope, 5905 Brecksville Road, Independence, Ohio 44131. Memorial candles can be purchased for $20 each. Register by October 7, 2024 in order to receive a personalized candle and have your baby’s name read during the ceremony.

WORKING ON SAFETY CONCERNS
Monday Night Meal at St. Malachi remains suspended for the time being. Staff is working hard with local community members to bring the meal back safely for volunteers and guests. We strive to offer safe meals on both of our campuses. We thank you for your patience and prayers during this challenging process. Back Door Ministry and Saturday Morning Breakfast continue to be carry-out only at this time.

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE 2024

As has become our custom, we will have family shrines for our beloved dead at set up at the side altars for the entire month of November. You may begin bringing photos of your loved ones as soon as the weekend of October 12. Remember to put a sticker on the back of the photo with YOUR name and phone number.
