Catholic Charities Appeal Rescheduled for 2/21/2015 – 2/22/2015
The Catholic Charities of Cleveland in-pew appeal has been rescheduled for, February 21 – 22, 2015. A special “thank you” to all who have already responded by mail. The theme of this year’s appeal is: Open your heart to live joyfully and generously!
Each year, Catholic Charities serves almost 400,000 people in the eight counties of our dioceses, including people from St. Malachi. Prayerfully consider making a generous pledge next weekend at the in-pew appeal.

Join us this week Wednesday, February 18, 2015 for Bridges to Contemplation at 7:00PM in the church. We use Thomas Merton’s Lenten writings as a starting point for silence, contemplation, and discussion.
Men’s Ministry Gathering 2/21/2015
On Saturday, February 21, 2015 St. Malachi, St. Patrick’s, and St. Wendelin’s men are invited to attend a webcast and discussion: Fr. Richard Rohr, “The Shape of God and the Trinity”. Gather at 10:30AM at the John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Road, North Olmsted. The webcast begins at 11:00AM with a discussion afterwards. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

Celebrating St. Malachi’s 150th Anniversary
Join us in celebrating St. Malachi’s past, present and future in the Old Angle throughout 2015. Activities and events are in the works including marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade, St. Malachi Day at a Cleveland Indians game, Gelato in July fundraiser, a Homecoming Street Festival, a final Mass and grand finale dinner. We welcome many hands and ideas and we count on all parishioners to spread the word about our anniversary celebration. Break out your comfortable walking shoes, something green and let’s get moving! The parade route is approximately 2 miles long. Each participant will receive an official St. Malachi anniversary t-shirt. Lector Review Sessions 2/7/2015 and 2/15/2015
The Liturgy Commission is planning two, in church, brief review sessions for our lectors on Saturday, February 7, 2015 after the 4:30 PM Mass. (A second session will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 10:15 AM, between the 9 AM and 11:30 AM Masses.)
Topics to be covered include: suggestions and resources for preparation, microphone technique, being a prayerful presence, pacing and scheduling issues.

New Cluster Parishes Book Study 2/10/2015
Join the conversation on Pope Francis’ Joy of the Gospel or Forming Intentional Disciples by Sherry Weddell (depending on group preference) on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the rectory of St. Patrick Church (Bridge). The book study continues weekly on Tuesdays afternoons.
