EUCHARISTIC ADORATION ON WEDNESDAYS

There will now be a weekly opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration at St. Pat’s Rectory Chapel on Wednesday evenings after the 5:30pm Mass. Join us and let the Eucharist transform your heart. Draw closer to Jesus. Experience how He transforms your life. Stop in for 5 minutes or an hour. TAIZE PRAYER

Please join us at St. Malachi Church at 7pm Wednesday, January 12th at 7pm for simple chant, candlelight, and silence. Please enter the church through one of the side doors. This prayerful evening occurs every month on the 2nd Wednesday in the St. Malachi Church. Come experience this beautiful way to pray.

MASS BOOK OPEN – MANY MASSES AVAILABLE

The Mass Book for St. Patrick and St. Malachi is now in the St. Patrick Rectory. Please call or visit to schedule a Mass for a beloved family member or special prayer interest. Suggested Mass donation is $10.

PALENTINE’S DANCE

YOUNG ADULT GROUP

• Mass & Espresso Your Faith | Feb16 @ 10am at St. Malachi | We will attend the 10 am mass and then walk next door to the library for coffee, donuts, and conversation on the gospel. No RSVP needed, just show up.

•  Ignite Conference happening at St. Ignatius and St. Pat’s | Feb 22 Ignite is a single day conference meant to draw young adults from Cleveland and all neighboring Dioceses. The purpose of the conference is meant to instill young adult Catholics with the knowledge of their worth and dignity in the eyes of Jesus, surround themselves with a community of other passionate young adults that they can grow with, and equip them to be sent on mission to serve and evangelize. DIVINE RENOVATION MISSION & BOOK STUDY CONTINUES

St. Patrick and St. Malachi Parishes are conducting a Mission Series based on the book Divine Renovation by Fr. James Mallon.

Complementary copies of the book are still available by calling the St. Patrick Rectory 216-631-6872. Please join any of our Weekly Small Group Discussions. Weekly discussion questions can be found HERE or in church. (We are on Week 4 – Curiosity ) Chapter 5, part 1, Pages 87-122. 

There are 5 small group meetings on different days. MALACHI RUN VOLUNTEERS 

ST.MALACHI RUN – MARCH 15TH, 2025! As you know, our Run provides financial support to all of the St. Malachi Food Ministries! It is very important to all those we serve!

To sign up to volunteer for 2025: please go to the Run website stmalachichurchrun.com and go to the Volunteer page to select the job(s) you would like to do for 2025. You need to sign up for EACH job you want (Packet Pick-ups, Run Day jobs). We will have assistance available at several St. Malachi Sunday AM Coffee Hours, specifically Feb. 2nd, Feb. 23rd and March 2nd. Just come to the St. Malachi Hall in the lower level of the School building between 11AM-12Noon on the Sundays listed above. The Run Team, led by Sharon Chapman, will get you signed up! Anyone who has not volunteered before, please go to the website to sign-up to volunteer for Run 2025 as stated above. The Run is a grand and community-building experience! CPR/FIRST AID/AED CERTIFICATION TRAINING

We are hoping to have more volunteers and parishioners trained to use our new AED kits in St. Patrick and St. Malachi churches and halls. There are many training classes available. The class will provide certification in First Aid, AED, CPR. You only need to attend one class.  There is a limit on how many can attend a single class so we need to schedule who will attend which class. 

• Saint Malachi  Sunday, February 16th  11am – 3pm and  Thursday, February 27th 1-4pm.
• Saint Patrick  Sunday, February 23rd  Noon- -4pm, Thursday, March 6th noon – 3pm.

SPIRTUAL DEVELOPMENT

• Wherever two or three or more are gathered in prayer (6 feet or many miles apart), let us pray for all of the members of our St. Malachi parish, their intentions, and all of the people on our prayer list at 7:00 PM (Eastern time) on Thursday.

ST. PATRICK PARISH FESTIVITIES

Mardi Gras Celebration & Deacon Bill Merriman’s Retirement – The weekend of March 1 & 2 after the 4:30pm Saturday Vigil Mass and the two Sunday Masses (8:30am and 11:00am) in the Lower Hall of the Club Buildling, St. Patrick’s will have it’s annual pre-Lenten celebration of Beignets (the classic New Orleans style fried dough), Bacon, and Berries. After the 11:00 Mass there will be a special gathering to celebrate the retirement of Deacon Bill Merriman. All are welcome to attend.

St. Patrick’s Dance – Tickets for the St. Patrick’s Dance are available now. The Come join this fun, family-friendly event on March 8th from 6:30-10pm. Tickets include food and drink. St. Patrick’s Day – Monday, March 17th all are welcome to a special 9:30am Mass for the Patronal Feast of the parish. After Mass all 3 floors of the Club building will have a free Irish Breakfast and raffles!

THEOLOGY ON THE ROCKS WEST For Adults 40 & Over Join us Monday, Feb. 10, 7 – 8:30pm, Westside Irish American Club, 8559 Jennings Rd. Olmsted Twp., Auxiliary Bishop Michael G. Woost : What you don’t know about the Mass and so much more. We will journey through the evolution of the Mass today, the rite, prayers, traditions, graces & the never-changing Eucharist. THEOLOGY ON TAP invites all young adults in their 20s and 30s to join us for our next gathering “One-ing: Two Become One, Spousal Unity in Marriage” on Wednesday, February 26th at Forest City Brewery. Frank and Jen Ricard who have been married for more than 30 years will share what an integrated model of unity in Marriage looks like and why unity is important? MARRIAGE ENRICHMENT – SIMPLY LOVE Registration is now open for Marriages of Grace’s annual marriage enrichment event. Being held at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe on Saturday, March 1, Fr. Ryan Mann will be the main celebrant for Mass. Space is limited, so register early.

BEHOLD RETREAT 2025 The Behold Retreat is a mother-daughter retreat (any mother-daughter-like relationship) designed specifically for adult and teen women in the spirit of Mary’s fiat. The retreat will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine on Saturday, March 22 from 10am to 4pm. The theme is “Behold Our Mission,” keynote speaker is Crystalina Evert, and the reflections will shed light on the life and example of St. Therese of Lisieux. The retreat will close with the Sunday vigil Mass at 4pm celebrated by Fr. Joe Menkhaus. Registration is now open. Only 100 tickets will be sold.
