In keeping with our St. Malachi tradition, there is no Coffee Hour on March 20, 2016, Palm Sunday after either Mass. The church will be open for Eucharistic adoration between masses. Fr. Tony and Fr. Jim O’Donnell will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).

Parish Council created an Organization and Structure Task Force which has been reviewing Parish Council structures and parish operations so we can operate more effectively for the sake of our mission and ministry. Task Force members will update the parish about their work thus far. New proposals are being considered to help move us into the future. Join us at 10:15AM on Sunday, January 10, 2016 for a panel discussion regarding the world’s refugee crisis and how Catholic Charities Office of Migration and Refugee Services, one of the largest agencies in the United States offering refugee assistance, is helping refugees with resettlement of refugees here in Cleveland. A representative from the Office of Migration and Refugee Services and some recently arrived refugees in the Cleveland area will be on the panel. The event will be moderated by Mary MacNamera of St. Malachi Parish. There will be discussion of how we are called to assist with the Syrian refugee crisis.

4th Annual Fair Trade Boutique at St. Malachi’s -Shop with a conscience! Come to the St. Malachi Fair Trade Boutique for your holiday shopping Sunday December 13, 2015 in the School Hall after the 9:00 and 11:30 masses. Two Fair Trade non profits will be in the School Hall during Coffee Hour offering unique items for sale.
Items include textiles, jewelry, Equal Exchange coffee, tea and chocolates, nativity scenes, ornaments and much more. Check off your gift list and create positive change in the world, all at the same time. Fair trade enables artisans and farmers around the world to earn a fair wage and provides an opportunity for a better quality of life.
The two organizations are Inter religious Task Force ( IRTF) based out of St. Patrick’s and the Amani Children’s Foundation with products from Kenya coordinated by St. Malachi member Mary McNamara.
