Their home maintains a pure mission—to meet our residents’ immediate and basic human needs of food, shelter, clothing and comfort. Our trained staff and volunteers provide spiritual, emotional and physical support with the assistance of a hospice team. However, their loving care is supplemented with other essentials for mind, soul and body, such as music therapy, to enhance the quality of life for our residents. Care at Malachi House is designed to ensure that one’s final days are as comfortable as possible, emphasizing dignity and respect for the individual to the end of natural life. Our Home cares for 15 residents at a time and has served more than 1,856 individuals since our founding in 1988.
Due to the fact that their care is exemplary, Malachi House has become an informal training ground for many fields of study, and regularly hosts a wide array of students, particularly those in the medical and ministerial professions.

St. Malachi Parish shares the Malachi name with two separate and distinct ministries, St. Malachi Center and Malachi House. These three ministries are legally distinct organizations with different missions, separate boards and separate staff.
St. Malachi Center has a long history of serving the needs of the families of the Near West Side of Cleveland.
We offer numerous services for youth, adults, and families including free morning showers, a bi-monthly health clinic, after-school programs, and adult education. Our programming schedule changes seasonally to better serve the community’s needs.
The services the Center offers are made possible by the generosity of loyal donors, and the hard work of many volunteers.

Created out of a Christian sense of ministry, Malachi House is a non-profit organization that serves terminally ill persons, without cost or regard to gender, race, religion or national origin. We help restore dignity to less fortunate individuals by providing them with a safe, comfortable place to spend the final stages of life, which otherwise might be spent alone and abandoned, under bridges, in cars, deserted buildings and other unsuitable places within the city. Malachi House is funded solely by private donations and receives no government support. Malachi House presently has capacity for 15 residents and has served more than 1,300 individuals since its founding in 1988.
