All St. Malachi Ministry leaders are encouraged to join fellow workers for a gathering this Saturday March 5. There will be time to pray, learn about how others are working in their ministry, reflect about our gifts, collaborate, and eat lunch family style. Malachi Center’s Soup for the Soul, 03/03/2016
At Soup for the Soul on Thursday, March 3, 2016, over twenty of Cleveland’s favorite chefs will share their most delicious soups to benefit St. Malachi Center’s programming for families and children. The event will be held at Renaissance Cleveland, 14 Public Square from 6:00-10:00PM. Pope Francis’ “On Care of Our Common Home” Presentation, 3/2/2016
Exploring Pope Francis’ Encyclical, “On Care of Our Common Home” is our evening speaker series with presentations/reflections at 7:00 PM in the hall on Wednesdays March 2, 2016 and April 6, 2016. On March 2, Fr. Tony Schuerger, St. Malachi Parish pastor & Diaconate Formation Director will present and help us reflect Chapters 3 and 4.

Malachi Center Sewing Group
The sewing group at Malachi Center is in need of fabric for the sewing program. This program teaches individuals basic sewing skills to complete items such as hemming pants, making skirts and curtains.If you have two (2) yards (or more) of fabric to donate,

World Day for Migrants and Refugees, 01/24/2016
The theme for the 2016 World Day for Migrants and Refugees is: Migrants and Refugees Challenge Us. The Response of the Gospel of Mercy.
The Diocese of Cleveland will be celebrating this day on Sunday, January 24, 2016 with a special Mass at 12:00 PM celebrated by Bishop Lennon at St. Michael the Archangel Parish,
3114 Scranton Road, Cleveland. Following the liturgy refreshments reflective of our cultural diversity will be served at a reception in the hall.
There is no cost and we are hoping that many people from our diocesan community will join us for this multicultural celebration.
Everyday Prophets 01/19/2016
On Tuesday, January 19, 2016 St. Malachi Deacon Leo and Nancy Bistak are our Everyday Prophets. Deacon Leo and Nancy are married 48 years.
Both have Masters in Pastoral Ministry and degrees in other disciplines. Both have certificates in Spiritual direction/retreat direction,
belong to Pax Christi since 1990 and are currently involved with Ignatian Volunteer Corps. We start at (after Noon Mass) in the hall.
Bring a lunch (beverage & dessert are provided). Everyday Prophets is a lunchtime program to celebrate the work & dedication of
those in our community who serve others. Come, enjoy the stories, fellowship & shared inspiration.

We will be decorating the church in stages on the following days:
1) Friday, December 18, 2015 or Saturday morning, December 19,2015 erect the large artificial tree in the sanctuary
2) Sunday morning, December 20, 2015 put live trees in stands
3) Sunday, December 20, 2015 after 11:30 Mass install and place lights on live trees, place banner on choir loft ledge, wreaths on pillars, large wreath outdoors in front of church, place figures in creche
4) Tuesday, December 22, 2015 after Noon Mass water and place poinsettias around altars and other places in church
5) Wednesday, December 23, 2015 after Noon Mass complete work on Advent wreath (add lilies around white candle, add poinsettia plants, change altar cloths, lectern (ambo) frontal, credence and gift table cloths for Christmas Masses
