Faith Direct
Still using envelopes for your Sunday offertory? Lent is a time to consider a new approach. Switching to eGiving instead of cash or checks is a more efficient, convenient way to give. Faith Direct – our parish’s online giving platform – is a tool you can use to deepen your commitment to the church and the ministries you care about most. Your recurring gifts will sustain our mission month after month, and it will also help our parish by cutting the costs of envelopes (and using less paper!), and reducing the time we spend processing cash and checks. During Lent we are reminded to develop a more conscious spiritual life, and share what we have with those in need. Making the change to eGiving for your parish support is a step in the right direction! You can set up a recurring donation or make a one-time gift. Sign up today by visiting faith.direct/OH337; text ‘Enroll’ to 216-930-1310 or visit the St. Malachi website, www.stmalachi.org, and click on the donate button. Thank you for your continued support of our parish family.
A conversation of the Whole Church: Reflections on the Synod
As the Catholic Church around the world enters into a process of discernment about the future, Pope Francis has called together an international group of experts to assist in preparing for the Synod on Synodality. Hear from Dr. Kristin Colberg, the only American on the synod’s theological commission, as she shares her experiences in Rome and reflects on Pope Francis’ call for the conversion of the whole church. Thursday, March 24, 7PM, Dolan Science Center, John Carroll University and live-streamed at www.jcu.edu/academics/catholic.
Congratulations and Prayers , Hollis Johnson!
After over 50 years of being away from the Catholic Church in which he was raised, St. Malachi parishioner Hollis Johnson walked with the RCIA and companion on the journey, Margaret Armstead, since last fall as he renewed his Catholic Faith. In God’s perfect timing, Hollis recently celebrated Reconciliation and completed his homecoming last Sunday when he received his “second First Communion.” What a beautiful witness to God’s grace Hollis has been for those who have encountered him on this journey! Our congratulations and prayers are with you Hollis. We are grateful for your humble witness!

Be the Light – Catholic Charities Appeal 2022
Many parishioners received letters in January, inviting their support of the 2022 Appeal. Please pray for the good work of Catholic Charities and make a pledge today. Your donation makes a difference! Your support of the 2022 Catholic Charities Appeal will help us serve those individuals who are most in need and most vulnerable.
From Matthew’s Gospel: Whatever you did for the least of these, you did it for me. When we feed the hungry, take care of the sick, and welcome the stranger, we are also serving Jesus himself. We appreciate your donation and will take special care to use it wisely in providing essential programs and services to people in need throughout all eight counties of the Diocese of Cleveland. We invite you to view stories of inspiration and more information at CatholicCommunity.org/2022 Appeal.
