Parish School of Religion (PSR) Enrollment is Now Open
St Malachi St Patrick 2023-24 PreK-Gr 8 PSR is growing! And we are ready for your child’s registration. In-person sessions are twice monthly at St Patrick on Sundays 9:45-10:45 AM, plus three additional lessons completed at home each month. Parents meet with Catechetical Leader for Unit Openers; intergenerational celebrations and service projects occur three times a year. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
For the last two weeks, our parish bulletin printed two messages regarding the special August Election on Issue 1. The source of these messages may be found on the diocesan website’s Office for Human Life.
While the Ohio Catholic Conference has no position on Issue I since the issue (in and of itself) has no moral content, it is important for citizens to be aware of Issue 1 and why it has important implications regarding November’s Amendment to the State Constitution.
A few parishioners contacted us with a concern that there are conflicting messages, namely, between what the Ohio Conference of Bishops have stated and the bulletin content. In response to these requests for further clarity, I invite parishioners to go to the diocesan website (dioceseofcleveland.org) and access the Office for Human Life page:

There is helpful information – as well as additional links – to assist voters in understanding the positions of the Ohio Catholic Conference and the Diocese of Cleveland.

A Unique Program to Strengthen and Heal Your Marriage – 9/22-9/24/2023
The Retrouvaille program is designed to help married couples develop improved ways of communicating and relating to each other in order to overcome challenges which have left them feeling frustrated, hurt, distant, or even hopeless. Retrouvaille, which means rediscovery, is supported by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, but is open to couples of all faiths. This program consists of a weekend experience and six follow up sessions. Independence Day Mass
Our July 4th Mass on Tuesday will be at Saint Wendelin at 9AM. This is a wonderful opportunity for our partner parishes (St. Malachi, St. Patrick, and St. Wendelin) to celebrate the holiday together.
