What a pivotal time this is for our parish! W e need a wise and caring Parish Council to lead us through these next few years. We have 4 openings for the coming election. The term length is three years. Elections will begin in May and the term starts in July. If you are interested in more information, please contact Judy Slivka at JBSlivka550@gmail.com or Cathy Graham billandcathy@roadrunner.com. Conversation with Fr. Gurnick, 02/19-20/2022
Just prior to everything shutting down in March 2020, we began conversations after Mass with Fr. Gurnick. We will be resuming these in-person conversations after each of the Masses. Stay around and share with Father and other parish leaders what’s on your mind. Some of your questions or concerns may even help to shape our parish-wide meeting in the spring. Conversation will take place in the church after the 4pm Saturday Vigil and 10am Sunday Masses the weekend of February 19 and 20.
Synod Individual Response Feedback
Although St. Patrick’s and St. Malachi’s Synod Listening Sessions have been completed, there is still chance to give feedback. Individuals may submit input on Diocese of Cleveland Diocese website www.dioceseofcleveland.org/synod/individual-particiption.
Feel free to forward this to anyone who you think would like to still be a part of this global listening effort.
Be the Light – Catholic Charities Appeal 2022
Many parishioners received letters in January, inviting their support of the 2022 Appeal. Please pray for the good work of Catholic Charities and make a pledge today. Your donation makes a difference! Your support of the 2022 Catholic Charities Appeal will help us serve those individuals who are most in need and most vulnerable.
From Matthew’s Gospel: Whatever you did for the least of these, you did it for me. When we feed the hungry, take care of the sick, and welcome the stranger, we are also serving Jesus himself. We appreciate your donation and will take special care to use it wisely in providing essential programs and services to people in need throughout all eight counties of the Diocese of Cleveland. We invite you to view stories of inspiration and more information at CatholicCommunity.org/2022 Appeal.
