Jesus says to not be afraid, not because all will be well in the world, but because for the Father, we are precious and nothing that is good will be lost. Jesus says to be fearful, instead, of one thing: throwing one’s life away. One should not be so afraid of suffering misunderstandings and criticism, of losing prestige and economic advantages in order to remain faithful to the Gospel, but of wasting one’s existence chasing after trivial things, which do not fill life with meaning. Let us ask ourselves, then…What am I afraid of? Of not having what I like? Of not reaching the goals that society imposes? Of the judgement of others? Or of not pleasing the Lord and not putting His Gospel first? Let us ask our wise Mother Mary to grant us her wisdom and courage as we consider in the choices we make. Angelus Prayer, June 25, 2023

End of Livestreaming Sunday Mass
After this weekend we are no longer streaming the Sunday 10AM Mass. With low viewership and with the declared end of the pandemic, all the faithful are encouraged to attend Mass in-person. If you or a loved one are homebound and would like a pastoral visit, please call Stephanie in the parish office to schedule a visit. If attending Mass in-person is not possible, we recommend praying the Mass live with those at the Cathedral of St. John, at 10AM on Sundays or noon on weekdays. WUAB Channel 43 airs each week on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Cox Communications Cable subscribers may select channel 45. Mass airs each week on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

August Special Election – 8/8/2023
Passing Issue 1 directly affects the issue of abortion in Ohio. The abortion lobby is currently attempting to enshrine abortion up until birth with zero restrictions in Ohio’s constitution this November, which would remove the most foundational right that any of us have—the right to life. We must vote YES on Issue 1 on August 8, 2023. Ensure you are registered to vote and verify your voting information before July 10, 2023 by going to VoteOhio.gov.
