Dear Friends and Parishioners of St. Malachi,
As we continue to address the safety of those helping with our meal programs, parish staff and other parish leaders have been meeting to explore viable options for security measures and other safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of our volunteers and guests. Many of these volunteers have involved our neighbors as they share similar concerns.
In the meanwhile, Back Door Ministry remains open as does Saturday Breakfast (although in modified form until the question of security is resolved). Monday Night Meal remains suspended with the intention to reopen when we are able to put certain safety steps into place, including training opportunities for staff and core volunteers. We hope to have more information available within the next couple of weeks.
Please continue to keep those most impacted by the Monday Night Meal incident on July 29 and all of our friends in the community we serve.
