In L’Arche, assistants are people who choose community and relationships, are supported by L’Arche in their personal and professional development, and act as direct support professionals for community members with intellectual disabilities (core members). Assistants create home and share life with persons with disabilities. No experience required but assistants must be 18 years old and able to drive.
