“BLANKET SUNDAY” NEXT SUNDAY
Next weekend, October 11-12, is the 22nd Annual Blanket Sunday Collection to aid the needy. The collection is sponsored by the diocesan
St. Vincent de Paul
Society. St. Malachi will be collecting blankets, sleeping blankets & bedding to distribute to local families in need & homeless individuals. Cash donations will be forwarded to the
St. Vincent de Paul
Society, which will purchase blankets and other items needed by low income families in bulk, making your monetary donations go even further.

The Community Social Action Committee has a service to assist community members, parish members and persons living in the neighborhood. Call Helen Misener at (440) 427-8023 for temporary, emergency assistance in light house work, laundry, shopping, transportation.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
St. Malachi Center
is seeking adults to teach their hobbies or interests to children of the After School Program (5 -6 pm) to further broaden their experiences. Topics can range from cooking to Yoga, to art, to photography… bring us your talents - use your imagination. All it requires is one hour each week for eight weeks on either a Monday or Thursday.
Partners for Progress needs adults to work one-on-one with other adults to help them learn math, reading, or social studies so they can pass their all-important GED exam. CALL TO POLITICAL RESPONSIBILITY”
How does a committed Catholic apply the social justice teachings of our faith to deciding how to vote? To help, the Community Social Action Committee will host “Faithful Citizenship; a call to Political Responsibility” Wednesday, October 15, from 7--8:30 PM in the School Hall. Our annual Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated on All Souls Day,

Tuesday October 14. Fr. Mike Woost will speak on St. Teresa of Avila, one of the three women doctors of the Church,
