PRAYING WITH ST. IGNATIUS
Praying with St. Ignatius, a Jesuit Retreat House Parish Retreat returns to St. Malachi's this fall. It starts Sunday, September 28 2008 at St. Malachi Hall, from 7:00-8:30pm. Praying with St. Ignatius is a retreat
adapted from The Spiritual Exercises to foster a heartfelt knowledge of
Jesus. For 8 Sundays, trained spiritual directors from the
Jesuit Retreat House will guide you through different methods of prayer, meditation, journaling, and small group sharing. You will be asked to commit a ½ hour a day for private prayer. Is God calling you to a closer relationship? The cost is $50; registration deadline is Tuesday September 23. Flyers are at the doors of the Church. St. Malachi Spiritual Development Committee sponsors this retreat. Please contact Jan Leitch or Jackie Bluett for more information.
RCIA -- COME & SEE!
Do you know someone who is not Catholic but has expressed interest in the faith? Do you know someone who was baptized Catholic but never raised in the church? Do you know someone who is searching spiritually, but has no church home? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is
a journey of faith for adults interested in the Catholic faith. Sessions start this fall. For information, call the rectory (216) 861-5343.
“CALLED AND GIFTED”
What does it mean? In an effort to help us see how we are “Called and Gifted” during the clustering process, we look to those who have struggled through similar situations for ideas & guidance, both contemporarily & historically. The first speaker is Sr. Mary Schrader CSJ, who will talk about her personal and communal experience in the merging of the Communities of the Congregation of St. Joseph Sisters. Her talk will be
Wednesday, September 24, about 7:15 pm in St. Malachi Hall, allowing us to
pray the Labyrinth (starting at 6 pm). This is an event of St. Malachi Spiritual Development Committee. For more information, please call Charlene McElwee at (216) 861-5343, Jan Leitch at (216) 521-6376, or Jackie Bluett at (440) 590-0394.

Please put it in a plastic bag & mark the bag clearly “Community Social Action Committee.” Please leave the fans at the front of the church before or after Masses. He said in reply, "It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs." She said, "Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters." Then Jesus said to her in reply, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." And the woman's daughter was healed from that hour.
