July 14 - July 18: Power Lab Vacation Bible School for both pre-school and elementary age children.
Sunday August 10: Parish Ice Cream Social and Yard Sale starting after the 11 o'clock Mass until 5 PM.
SAINT PATRICK CHURCH
Weekday Mass at 8 AM and 5:30 PM; chapel remains open after 5:30 Mass for private prayer for Peace.
Sunday, August 10: 11 AM Outdoor Liturgy with a Potluck Picnic following.
Thursday, August 28, St. Patrick's at Huntington Play House for “Some Enchanted Evening - the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein” benefit for energy fund. Tickets $20 available at the Rectory.

ST. MALACHI REVERSE RAFFLE COMMITTEE
The annual St. Malachi Reverse Raffle will be held on Friday, October 3 at Brennan's Party Center. We need and are looking for people to help with the committee. Please come to the first meeting this Tuesday, July 8 at 5 PM in the rectory. For information, contact Mary Jane Treichel at (216) 861-5343.

ST. MALACHI CENTER'S ANNIVERSARY RAFFLE
St. Malachi Center June Raffle winners: Gladys Thibault won $250; Susan Orr won $150; and Mike & Marean Graham won $100. The next drawing is Thursday, July 31. Tickets are only $12 each or three for $30! Winning tickets go back into the “hopper” to be eligible to win the other monthly and the $5000 grand prize or $1000 runner-up prize. The grand prize drawing is Saturday November 8th after 4:30 Mass in the School Hall. To purchase tickets, please contact Cathy Graham, Jackie Bluett or Ginny Suhr. OLD ANGLE FAMILY FUN FESTIVAL AND YARD SALE
The Social Action Committee is having a yard sale at the July 5th, Old Angle Family Fun Festival We need donated household items like dishes, flat ware, pots and pans, small appliances, knickknacks, toys and other yard sale variety items. PLEASE PUT THE ITEMS IN A BOX AND MARK THE BOX CLEARLY "YARD SALE 7-05-08". If the box is not marked for the yard sale then the items cannot be sold. The money collected witll go to benefit the sewing group for women at the Center. If you have questions or, to arrange for a pick-up of boxes at your home, call Joan Daly at 440-33-1755. SUMMER FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN
The Diocese of Cleveland/Nutrition Services announces the Summer Food Service Program for Children. Free meals are available to all children 18 years of age and under, or persons 18 who are determined to be mentally or physically disabled. One site is at St. Malachi Center, in connection with the summer program. HOME FORECLOSURE PREVENTION RESOURCES
In 2007, there were approximately 80,000 filed foreclosures in Ohio; Ohio ranks fourth in the nation for filed home foreclosures. The State of Ohio, Dept. of Commerce has developed an outstanding website to assist Ohioans facing foreclosure on their homes. Among other things, the “Save the Dream” web site provides “county by county” information regarding HUD approved housing counseling agencies, legal services, community organizations working on foreclosure as well as, other services. Assistance is available at www.com.ohio.gov/savethedream/  or call the hotline at 1-888-404-4676. 

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP

OHIO MASTERS SWIM CLUB BENEFIT
OHIO Masters Swim Club will offer 1 mile and 2 mile swims on a 1/2 mile course in Lake Erie on held Saturday, July 26 at Edgewater State Park. Registration begins at 6:45 am & ends at 1 pm. Additional entry information & forms may be downloaded at: www.ohiomasters.com.  Proceeds from this event support St. Malachi Center.  Please contact Lynn Scott for more information or to volunteer.

WEDNESDAY PRAYER
All are welcome for this Wednesday's prayer: Liturgy of the Hours (Evening Prayer) at 6 pm in the Church to support the clustering process.

THEOLOGY ON TAP THIS THURSDAY Theology on Tap
The summer installment of Theology on Tap will take place this coming Thursday, July 10 at the Westside Irish American Club, 8559 Jennings Rd., Olmsted Township. The Associate Board welcomes Fr. 50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration Liturgy will be held on Sunday, July 27 at 2:30 p.m. with Bishop Richard Lennon at St. John Cathedral. ST JOHN WEST SHORE HOSPITAL FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
Friday, July 11 6-9 PM, Saturday, July 12 10 AM - 7 PM, and Sunday, July 13 10 AM - 5 PM. Admission is free; non-perishable food donations are encouraged to benefit local food banks. The festival includes 200 artists and craft persons, food and entertainment, children's activities, and free heath screenings. Outdoor Mass Sunday morning will be at 9 AM.
